Support / Supply Staff to join the Graffham Nursery team.

While our staff team is currently complete, we are always interested to hear from suitably qualified supply staff that may be able to cover sickness, training or other absence or just provide occasional support. If you are interested and have a suitable Early Years qualification, please do get in touch (email address and phone number on the contact page) with a CV as we would love to meet you and show you our wonderful setting!

Forest School

This week, our Forest School began with rain and ended with sunshine. On Tuesday our camp site was reminiscent of Reading Festival, but it is remarkable how quickly everything begins to dry. On Wednesday we explored the oil seed crop, went deer tracking and perfected our team work!

This week, our intrepid naturalists have discovered newts and a grass snake in Graffham school grounds. There is no news on the incubator yet, but the caterpillars look ready to begin spinning their cocoons. Mrs Wagtail is happily ensconced on her nest in our hollow bricks on the terrace outside Wrens’ Classroom, much to our astonishment. She seems neither bothered by the children or the fact that we have had clear plastic insulation curtains fitted to the French windows!
